Force Chair and Biomechanical Model

ERL software uses a biomechanical model to predict the loads acting at specific anatomical landmarks on the virtual occupants. This model was validated using a chair with load cells (force chair) to measure the loads acting at specific regions on actual human bodies. The force chair is used to measure the forces acting at load bearing points on the body at the foot, thigh, buttocks, lumbar and chest.
